We are happy to answer any kitchen countertop questions you may have

On average, what size should a kitchen countertop be?

The standard size of kitchen countertops is generally the same.

Base cabinets are available with a standard depth of 24 inches, ensuring there is enough space to recess a cooktop or sink within the cabinetry. Dishwashers and stoves are generally available according to the same standard sizes. So, when installing a kitchen island, that standard sizing remains the same.

Can I stain my countertop?

Although you can definitely try, it is better to let a professional handle it for the best results.

A countertop can be a big investment, depending on which material you choose. And that material may be prone to cracks and chips if not installed properly. This may result in you having to pay for a replacement.

At Max Space Stone Works Inc., our experienced professionals will get the job done right in one go. Letting us install your kitchen countertop ensures that you get the perfect fit.

Can I install the outdoor kitchen countertop myself?

A solid surface countertop is man-made, whereas a hard surface countertop is a naturally occurring material.

A solid surface countertop is man-made and doesn’t stain. It requires no sealing and prevents bacterial growth. The materials can be bonded together, providing a seamless appearance. The seams aren’t altogether invisible but are by nature inconspicuous.

Hard surface countertops are naturally occurring materials such as granite, onyx and marble, among others. They are mined in quarries and each slab has a unique appearance.

Should I paint the existing kitchen cabinets before or after the countertop is installed?

Different materials have different needs, but there are some basic things you may keep in mind.

Every kitchen countertop material has different care and maintenance requirements. However, some general tips to follow are:

  • Avoid abrasive cleansers for solid surface countertops.
  • Use warm soapy water for natural stone surfaces.
  • Wipe the counter using a dry cloth once it is clean.
  • Avoid acidic or citrus cleaners.
  • Cleaners containing dye shouldn’t be left for any length of time on any countertop.

What is a solid surface and a hard surface kitchen countertop?

Natural stone surfaces resist stains when sealed, but, if needed, apply a mixture of club soda and baking soda to make it look as good as new again.

Technically, any surface can stain. But natural stone, when sealed, is the best at resisting common stains. Most stains can be removed by applying a mix of club soda and baking soda. Apply the paste on the affected area, allow the countertop to absorb it and wipe it off once it is completely dry.

What areas do your services cover?

Either way is fine.

You can paint your cabinets either before or after the countertop has been installed

How do I clean and care for my kitchen countertops?

We provide kitchen countertops across the GTA.

At Max Space Stone Works Inc., we take pride in offering a comprehensive inventory of outdoor kitchen countertops in the GTA.

What is your lead time?

Our lead time for each project depends on its size and scale.

Our team is dedicated to providing you with the shortest lead time possible. However, the exact time fluctuates depending on the amount of work involved. Please consult with us to determine an approximate time for your project.
